We weren't sure what we would find on the other end of the cable car, but it was definitely a pleasant surprise. We hiked up to the top of the mountain through beautiful gardens to the Castell de Montjuic. The castle has somewhat of a depressing past - it has been used as a prison in two wars, and was a military museum until a few years ago, but the museum was recently closed and there are plans to convert it to a place to honor peace.
