We put together a nice little Friday night this week. First stop: Xampaneria near Barceloneta, where they make and serve their own cava and rose, accompanied by myriad combinations of meat, cheese, and bread. They close at 10PM, so we got there early to get a good spot by the bar, and they'll pour cava as long as you're eating, so needless to say, we went through quite a few snacks. Then we headed over to Harlem Jazz Club in the Gothic. Like good Americans, we got there two hours before the music started, but we were able to find some bars to occupy our time. Then we went back for some great live music, an impromptu salsa lesson, and lots of fun. I can't wait to recreate this night when the visitors get here!
